Reverse Osmosis is a process for removing dissolved mineral salts,
organic molecules and certain other impurities by forcing water under
pressure to pass through a semi-permeable membrane.
Since Reverse Osmosis does not occur naturally, it must be created by
applying pressure to the high solids water in order to force it through the
membrane, with pressures from 200 to 400 psig in most applications, 1,000 or
even 1,200 psig for sea water desalination and high solids conditions.

CRYSTAL QUEST® Reverse Osmosis comes with everything needed to install this system with
complete easy to follow instructions.
This 5 stage filtration system produces 50
gallons per day, has a 3.2 gallon/12 liter storage tank, and comes with a
long reach faucet and booster pump. The three pre-filters are 1) 5-micron
sediment pre-filter cartridge 2) an activated carbon pre-filter cartridge ,
and 3) a carbon block pre-filter cartridge. The RO membrane is a 50
Gallon per day TFC Reverse Osmosis membrane. The 2 post-filters are an
inline GAC filter and a 5 stage Crystal Quest KDF/GAC cartridge.

High Performance Filtration Stages...
Stage 1 -
Prefiltration. The incoming water is filtered through a
sediment/activated carbon block filter to remove silt and sediment as well
as to protect the membrane from any chlorine that may be present.
Stage 2 -
Reverse Osmosis. this is the heart of the system. Most particles too
small to be trapped by the prefilter are removed by the T.F.C. membrane,
reducing unwanted contaminants from the water stream.
Stage 3 -
Polishing Filter. With 42 cubic inches of granular activated carbon,
this final filter reduces unwanted tastes and odors and adds the final
"polish" to your filtered water.
